Index to Chess Variants with Different Armies
Most people would consider it a chess variant to play chess with different armies, but to me the games you can play using the standard rules and the standard teams (the Fabulous FIDEs, the Forward Fides, the Remarkable Rooks, the Nutty Knights, and the Colorbound Clobberers) are chess, pure and simple. For Chess fans, these are incredibly good games.To the real Chess Variant fans, these games are not so exciting; but they need not despair, for I have here some games especially designed to delight them.
