group holding #1, Kasparov born 1963 at the top all of 2003 til

You may have to go back to Lasker(1868-1941) for that, partly since the above question is a little sketchy. Still it is unusual, not occurring after Fischer-Spassky Reykjavik 1972 and probably not after Lasker early 20th century.
