EurasiaChess Shogi
This is a rules file for Zillions of Games, a Windows program that will let you play any puzzle or strategy board game you can feed it the rules to. With Zillions-of-Games installed, this rules file will let you play this game against your computer.
This zip file contains ZRFs for Shogi, and mini-Shogi. They share same set of pieces graphics (EurasiaChess wood, round & color, mixing both Japanese Kanji representation, and improved European Chess symbol set), thus enabling a fast learning (of moves and Japanese Kanji) and easy discover of Shogi. Moreover, mini-Shogi is advised for quick learning of Gold&Silver token moves. The Shogi ZRF has been quickly tuned for pieces values according to what is generaly expected, but main reason of this release is to enable the playing with new EurasiaChess token graphics. Besides these, the graphics that come with Zillions may also be used. This release also includes display-friendly capture zones, boards with numbers&letters, notation near international standards, indication of current-player-to-play with a mark.Included EurasiaChess graphics can be re-used for any non-commercial use, as soon as you credit this artwork with "EurasiaChess" and my name. Other graphics are also available (here) slightly modifying the ZRF file.
