Chess Cubed is an aggresive form of chess. It is played by 2 players using the standard set of 16 pieces. Each piece's movement is able to extend across the six 8x8 Faces of a Rubiks Cube. It's invention was motivated by a challenge to compose the concepts of Classical Chess and the Rubiks Cube in a cohesive, integrated form while not favoring either player.
