This is maybe an edgy request, but…
Can you please add this to themed variants?
Okay, I deleted those.
Thanks a lot for publishing this game!
But if you want to delete a preset, I can do that after making sure it is not being used in any game logs.
Delete these ones please: https://www.chessvariants.com/play/pbm/play.php?game=Chess&settings=joyfulchess https://www.chessvariants.com/play/pbm/play.php?game=Chess&settings=Ttt https://www.chessvariants.com/play/pbm/play.php?game=Chess&settings=rojo
BTW how to delete GC presets?
In general, you don't, and you just deprecate them instead. But if you want to delete a preset, I can do that after making sure it is not being used in any game logs.
Done!
BTW how to delete GC presets?
Okay, I did that. Would you unfavorite it as Rechefiltr is Fire and favorite it only as Lev Grigoriev?
Can you change author and inventor to me?
Okay, I have published this page, and I have copied your two images for Game Courier to the /play/pbm/backgrounds directory as rocket-upright.png and rocket-rotated.png. You or whoever is interested in programming this game can make use of one of these with the Custom Grid shape or possibly the Custom shape.
Done and refactored some text.
It's worth leaving this image in, because the files are laid out in an unintuitive way:
Because your files are not vertical lines, it would be helpful to include two sets of file markers on the image you want used with Game Courier, one at each end of the file. Since the files lean right, the end file markers would work best on the right side. So, you could put the rank markers on the left side instead. As long as you're doing this, it would also be helpful to make the rank and file markers less blurry. It currently looks like you're going for a 3D effect with light-colored text over a shadow, but solid black would be more legible.
Done…
I’ve made a board with coordinates on each space.
I suppose it doesn't hurt to have that, but it's not what I asked you for. I asked for a board with rank and file markers for use with Game Courier. Rank and file markers go along the edges of the board, not on each space. Here are some examples of what I meant from the /play/pbm/backgrounds/ directory:
I’ve made a board with coordinates on each space.
What’s now? (I’m not masochist and won’t redo the rest of images).
BTW that’s the reason why there’s a big empty board image. It’s for this aim.
Since Game Courier will not be drawing the board, it's best to put rank and file markers on it manually.
Can this be published? Or what’s missing?
At this point, you should look back at my previous comments and heed the ones you have ignored. When I request something, and you or someone else argues against what I requested, it doesn't mean that I have changed my mind.
BTW that’s the reason why there’s a big empty board image. It’s for this aim.
Can this be published? Or what’s missing?
If you used a custom board image with a custom grid shape and logical directions, it might be doable.
Interesting – is that possible to make Game Courier preset for my invention?
Can you review this please in foreseeable future?
Please revise this in next 72 hours…)))))
It’s ready, coordinated image is done. What’s wrong?!
Gonna done, check if you want)
It would probably be enough to write coordinates in a31, in one of the diagrams.
Since the geometry of this board makes it harder to understand what sequence of spaces counts as a file or a rank, it would help if the empty board included a coordinate on each space, and other boards included file and rank markers along the edges.
OK!))) done!)))
Normal: files are numbered from a to o and spaces from bottom to top are named from 1 to 31. Rotated: files are named from 1 to 15, and “ranks” are named alphabetically from bottom, so the lowest are a and the last five (from low to upper) are δ, γ, λ, π and φ (the last).
Why add this confusion of having two different coordinate systems? Just stick to the one that doesn't use Greek letters.
Can you review it please in next 72 hours?
Rocket Chess is ready to be launched.:)
UPD: rewrite author and inventor to me since Reche is me.
Remade. Getting Ready for Launching…
Remaking Zip is only what I have to do to be sure?
Possibly, but it's not guaranteed. When I find some things that need fixing, I usually stop there without trying to identify everything that needs fixing.
Remaking Zip is only what I have to do to be sure?
The smaller graphics with separate diagrams for the same piece from different positions are easier to read. This would be helpful for the Zip piece too.
Made that, but Zip is unchanged (is it normal if just two overlaps are there?).
I’ll resize all them & I will try to remake Aanca’s diagram (Zip is not so bad)
Anyway, thx for your attention;)
The diagrams are so large, I can get them to fit on the screen only by making the window narrower. So, smaller diagrams would be better. Also, some of the diagrams are too busy, because they include multiple pieces whose powers of movement overlap, which makes it harder to follow movement diagrams. So, it would be helpful to replace these with individual diagrams that show the powers of movement of only one piece at a time.
Can you review this please in next 72 hours?
Diagrams would definitely be helpful, in particular an actual setup diagram.
I've made this. Kinda Saturday is hugely relayed;) view this please and decide FWIW)
I will do it to this Saturday.
Diagrams would definitely be helpful, in particular an actual setup diagram.
It's an interesting board, but I'm not 100% sure how you're intending the pieces to move. Whilst I can sort of guess, I think diagrams would be really helpful here
Have you ever seen the board used in this variant? If you want to see it, read the rules. There are 9 types of pieces with movement adapted for the board, and besides winning by checkmate, you can just race your King to the cockpit & win! Play this neoteric game and enjoy!
P. S. How should I ask for its review?????!!!!
P. P. S. Thank you Bobbie, but I wait an answer of an editor during next week.
Good time of day, I’m Lev. That’s my second acc created to speed things up.
Rocket Chess is ready as text submission. Images will be probably on next week. Please watch to agree or dislike.
