You are on the backup site for Chessvariants.com. Any posts, moves, or other changes you make here will not be permanent, because the pages and database from the main site will be backed up here every midnight EST. Additionally, things may not be working right, because this site is also a testbed for newer system software. So, if you are not here to test, develop, or merely read this site, you may want to change .org to .com in the navigation bar and go to the main site.

The Chess Variant Pages

Prime Number Contest

Rules

This is a contest for the best variant using a board with a prime number of squares. It is an extension of the 47 contest I held in 2008. Entries may either be sent from ChessVariants.org, or the sister site ChessVariants.Wikidot.org. You can vote for variants with comments on either site. The top 3 will win a free personal variant from me, or maybe a nickel (you have to pay shipping). Then again, you can always request one by e-mail, or put it in my suggestion box: http://chessvariants.wikidot.com/drafting-page

Entries

Captain Bob and John Smith's Colonization and Battle Room Chess.

Charles Gilman's Dream Chess 47.

John Smith's Wormhole Xiang Qi.

Joe Joyce' The Lion Game.
