X-factor Chess is a chess variant, invented by Gary Gygax (best known for his
invention of the Role Playing Game Dungeons & Dragons.) Several cards are used
in addition to a normal chess set. Cards affect play and can change the
rules of the games in many different ways. The description of this game can
be found on Gygax's website.
