I nominate this game for closest resemblance to the logo of The Chess Variant Pages!

The game is played on a 4X11 board, which gives us 44 squares.
I noticed that contest variants tend to be quite complex (probably why
main category demands computerised play), so I decided to make a variant
which could be understood and played on the fly.

I'm still seeing a twelfth rank.

I look forward to playing this variant. It looks fun!

Thanks. It's corrected.

The diagram with figurines shows one rank too many. There should be 11, agreeing with the ascii one.
