Davis Variation of Suicide Chess

Michael D. Davis wrote,

"In this game, you win by being the first to checkmate (as usual), or by
being the first to lose your queen, rooks, knights, and bishops.  If the
game ends  with a checkmate and the destruction of the opponent's said
men, the checkmate overrules."
