Solo Chess is a chess variant, that `allows one to play chess against
oneselves'. The site of Solo Chess has a demo program that can be downloaded,
and info on the game is given, of which the following is quoted here:
SOLO CHESS is played with a pack of 16 SOLO CHESS cards, containing various
chess pieces, each card representing four adjacent squares of a Chess Board.
By arranging all of these cards, in a chessboard configuration, it is
possible to reconstruct different Checkmates of the black and white Kings.
October 1999, it appears that the website of Solo Chess is down
definitively: the domain name was no longer registered. The old URL was:
http://www.solo-chess.com.
In order to facilitate maintenance of links, separate
pages will be made for outgoing links with a small description. Thus, when
a link changes, we need to change only one link on one spot. Note that I
have no connection to the linked sites.
