Good time of day, I’m Lev. That’s my second acc created to speed things up.

Rocket Chess is ready as text submission. Images will be probably on next week. Please watch to agree or dislike.

Have you ever seen the board used in this variant? If you want to see it, read the rules. There are 9 types of pieces with movement adapted for the board, and besides winning by checkmate, you can just race your King to the cockpit & win! Play this neoteric game and enjoy!

P. S. How should I ask for its review?????!!!!

P. P. S. Thank you Bobbie, but I wait an answer of an editor during next week.

It's an interesting board, but I'm not 100% sure how you're intending the pieces to move. Whilst I can sort of guess, I think diagrams would be really helpful here

Bob Greenwade wrote on Wed, Oct 18, 2023 04:27 AM UTC:

Diagrams would definitely be helpful, in particular an actual setup diagram.

I will do it to this Saturday.

The diagrams are so large, I can get them to fit on the screen only by making the window narrower. So, smaller diagrams would be better. Also, some of the diagrams are too busy, because they include multiple pieces whose powers of movement overlap, which makes it harder to follow movement diagrams. So, it would be helpful to replace these with individual diagrams that show the powers of movement of only one piece at a time.

I’ll resize all them & I will try to remake Aanca’s diagram (Zip is not so bad)

Anyway, thx for your attention;)

💡📝Lev Grigoriev wrote on Tue, Nov 14, 2023 07:11 PM UTC in reply to Fergus Duniho from 04:51 PM:

Made that, but Zip is unchanged (is it normal if just two overlaps are there?).

The smaller graphics with separate diagrams for the same piece from different positions are easier to read. This would be helpful for the Zip piece too.

💡📝Lev Grigoriev wrote on Wed, Nov 15, 2023 07:58 PM UTC in reply to Fergus Duniho from Tue Nov 14 08:03 PM:

Remaking Zip is only what I have to do to be sure?

Possibly, but it's not guaranteed. When I find some things that need fixing, I usually stop there without trying to identify everything that needs fixing.

Normal: files are numbered from a to o and spaces from bottom to top are named from 1 to 31. Rotated: files are named from 1 to 15, and “ranks” are named alphabetically from bottom, so the lowest are a and the last five (from low to upper) are δ, γ, λ, π and φ (the last).

Why add this confusion of having two different coordinate systems? Just stick to the one that doesn't use Greek letters.

Diceroller is Fire wrote on Sat, Nov 25, 2023 02:25 PM UTC in reply to Fergus Duniho from 01:44 PM:

OK!))) done!)))

🕸Fergus Duniho wrote on Sat, Nov 25, 2023 02:59 PM UTC:

Since the geometry of this board makes it harder to understand what sequence of spaces counts as a file or a rank, it would help if the empty board included a coordinate on each space, and other boards included file and rank markers along the edges.

H. G. Muller wrote on Sat, Nov 25, 2023 03:32 PM UTC in reply to Fergus Duniho from 02:59 PM:

It would probably be enough to write coordinates in a31, in one of the diagrams.
