Or, can we do something with how game conditions are scored over variants in general (start with a baseline) that would end up address possible draw issues with all them. You can have a default starting place, and variants are free to do this. Perhaps we could end up using a different default position than FIDE chess. How about we look to Shatranj for example, and what it had, and use that as the starting point? Maybe extend it some to account for more modern play. Just an idea here.
