This version of Hexagonal Chess has rotated cells so that the angles point up and down. The Pawn travels through all 3 forward angles and captures through the forward faces. It has a mere 50 cells. Due to tight space, the Pawns may use their opening 2-cell move to the forward-left or forward-right only, but not straight forward.

The variant of the game with 54 hexes is since end 2003 commercially available. The website of the game: gives information on the available sets, how to order it, and more.
