The pieces are the same as in orthodox chess. The setup is Similar to Shogi. The Bishops are placed in the same way to allow the player to make an exchange just in the first moves of the game. The king is placed in the same cell where it starts in a normal chess game. Chogi can be played with two chess piece sets. Use the second chess piece set to represent the promoted pieces.
