@Daniel: thanks. They are well done and they fit with the set. I hope editors will add them.

@Daniel: your page is only visible by editors

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Tue, Apr 16 04:16 PM UTC:

Here are some pieces I've made.

I modified it :

could these be of interest too?

vice general

go between

The inside part should be colored #f9f9f9. Using the background color for inside the piece makes it transparent and impossible to recolor properly.

François Houdebert wrote on Mon, Apr 15 11:07 AM UTC:

Do you think this svg could be added to the other beast section of alfaerieSVG?

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Sat, Apr 13 03:34 PM UTC in reply to Bob Greenwade from 03:24 PM:

Most of them are just conversions of older alfaerie images and small modifications

Bob Greenwade wrote on Sat, Apr 13 03:30 PM UTC in reply to Daniel Zacharias from Thu Apr 11 12:09 AM:

I don't know if this will help, but I'd recommend using something between these two as a good starting point:

Bob Greenwade wrote on Sat, Apr 13 03:24 PM UTC in reply to Daniel Zacharias from 02:09 PM:

I have 46 pieces I'd like to have considered for this set

A collection that big practically calls for its own page!

It would be nice to have a good Buffalo, but I haven't managed to draw it decently.

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Tue, Apr 9 07:42 PM UTC in reply to H. G. Muller from Fri Apr 5 06:10 AM:

I've got some I think are mostly good enough. How should I send them?

Bob Greenwade wrote on Sun, Apr 7 07:26 PM UTC in reply to Daniel Zacharias from 07:02 PM:

Ski-ski such as [H?fR]

I think there's another term for that, though I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

If I'm wrong, then a ski-ski would be (to my mind) relatively simple: put the piece on one ski for a regular ski, and on two skis for a ski-ski.

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Sun, Apr 7 07:02 PM UTC in reply to Bob Greenwade from 06:56 PM:

Ski-ski such as [H?fR]

It'd depend somewhat on what the piece is called.

That's not clear either

Bob Greenwade wrote on Sun, Apr 7 06:56 PM UTC in reply to Daniel Zacharias from 06:44 PM:

I'm trying to avoid skis so I can also include ski-ski-pieces. Currently my best idea is two circles, one black and the other empty.

"Ski-ski"?

Another thing I'm trying to think of is how to represent visually KSNTCZ

It'd depend somewhat on what the piece is called.

Maybe this can help inspire you:

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Sun, Apr 7 05:00 PM UTC in reply to H. G. Muller from Fri Apr 5 06:10 AM:

I have some that I think are ok, but one thing I want is ski pieces and I haven't thought of a really satisfactory way to do those

H. G. Muller wrote on Fri, Apr 5 06:10 AM UTC in reply to Daniel Zacharias from Thu Apr 4 11:21 PM:

In principle, yes. If these are not too different in style.

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Thu, Apr 4 11:21 PM UTC:

If I make some svg pieces would it be possible to get them added to this set?

Daniel Zacharias wrote on Mon, Apr 1 06:35 PM UTC:

The chinesepawn in alfaeriePNG appears to be missing part of its outline

François Houdebert wrote on Wed, Feb 28 06:44 PM UTC:

if you want to extend the list a little, here are some pieces that could be added:

Go between

Leopard

Vice general or flying bishop/saint

http//www.chessvariants.com/cgi-bin/fen2.php is the SVG rendering engine used by the 'Diagram Editor with Scalable Graphics', where you can request PNG images of individual pieces that exist in SVG sets on this website, of arbitrary size and color (on transparent background), or entire board diagrams of positions containing such pieces.

E.g. http://www.chessvariants.com/cgi-bin/fen2.php?s=200&w=00ff00&p=wbadger shows

Jean-Louis Cazaux wrote on Wed, Jan 3 04:52 PM UTC in reply to H. G. Muller from 02:32 PM:

To HG: Great!

I didn't know for the black piece. I will have a look at some of them to see how they are made.

I feel shamy to ask, but I don't understand what fen2.php means. You told me about it in a former answer too. Is it explainable in few words? I need the book "chessvariants pages for the dummies".

I will also contact you by e-mail about 3D pieces, Jocly and Blender. I like the ones you have posted today.

Thanks.
