Restored!
Thanks for the heads up on the missing file. I have re-submitted a new version (1.2.1) that corrects a minor error pointed out by a commenter on the game page and hopefully will be available soon.
This file is missing from the chessvariants.org server. I have a 2002 backup of the file here. Editors: You may want to recover this file from your own backups of the server.
Maybe I'll download the PC version of the Super NES 2D Zelda, and take screen shots of the isometric dungeons to Photoshop them into a new game board image for this. Of all the chess variants on this site, a physical board of Weave and Dungeon could be one of the most sculpturally artistic boards, and make one of the best conversation starters.
Thanks! The board was drawn in Paint, believe it or not. I would be interested in any comments you (or M. Howe or anyone else) might have. Also, if anyone has seen this board design before please let me know. As far as I know it's original but you never know.
Wonderful understated graphics on the ZRF! I'll comment on the game itself
once I've had a chance to play it.
That would be great if it could be placed on the poll. This is the first game I ever invented, many years ago, and I would appreciate an opportunity to try it out against actual people.
This game, on first reading, appears to be a brilliant and original concept. I'm looking forward to finding the time to play it. I hope that I can do so soon, because I have the feeling that it deserves a spot on the poll of games for multivariant tournament.
