Are moves through the edges of the upper boards valid? For example, there is no Ac2. Could a Bishop move from c2 to Ac3 and beyond? From c1 to Bc3? Could a Knight move from c2 to Bc3? From c1 to Ac3? Could a pawn on c2 capture on Ac3? Conversely could it make that move without capturing, as an initial double move?

from the queen's example, {the moving from b2,) I think it is possible.
