I've long known that Hans Bodlaender (this site's founder), David Howe
(this site's editor-in-chief) and myself (creator of Game Courier and
several variants) all have our birthdays near each other, all in Taurus on
or near the Aries/Taurus cusp. I've now discovered that Ralph Betza (a
prolific CV inventor) has his birthday only a week before mine, making him
an Aries born near the Aries/Taurus cusp. This is the sort of thing that
makes me wonder if there could be anything to astrology. I'm by no means a
true believer in astrology, but I do wonder about it sometimes. There is
not only the coincidence of nearby birthdays but the idea in astrology that
this cusp combines the creative energies of Aries with the productivity of
Taurus. Also, in comparing my output to Ralph Betza's, his seems more
expressive of raw creativity, while mine shows a stronger emphasis on
productivity. He has created many more variants than I have, while I have
spent more time on programming and graphically designing my variants. But
his productive side is also visible, particularly in CWDA, which spent more
years in development than I have been at creating variants.
