You are on the backup site for Chessvariants.com. Any posts, moves, or other changes you make here will not be permanent, because the pages and database from the main site will be backed up here every midnight EST. Additionally, things may not be working right, because this site is also a testbed for newer system software. An alternative rule for stalemate is that the player simply misses their
turn. There is also the issue of what happens to a player's other pieces
when their King drops out. Obviously they cannot be moved by the defeated
(or stalemated if that takes them out of the game) player. I can see five
approaches.
1	These pieces are removed along with their King.
2	They cannot be captured and remain obstacles to remaining players'
pieces for the rest of the game.
3	They can be captured until the board is cleared of them.
4	They can be 'recruited' (i.e. change sides) to the army of a piece
(specifically a King, I recommend) moving next to them.
5	They can be captured or recruited.
