It's a setup similar to Grand Chess but with a Chu Shogi Lion replacing the Archbishop, and with the Chancellor/Lion to the outside as the most powerful pieces should generally develop last. I also used rotational symmetry instead of mirror symmetry to make it even less likely that the like heavy pieces will be traded off (and since there's no castling in the grand chess setup, I see no real harm in rotational symmetry although many will probably find it aesthetically unappealing.)
The Queen, Chancellor, and Shogi Lion should all be of reasonably similar value, and with one of each of the three, it should lead to a variety of possibilities for unequal exchange.
