This is a very.. interesting ..game. I like it! You could even, if you'd carry around some strings, outline the outlines (obviously) of the board.. Yay! first comment!

The F3 problem is too great for this to be a good game. I hate to rate a game 'poor', but if not fixed, that problem kills the game.

AAUUGHH! Chess. After every move, there's a 1 in 18 chance of the rules switching to another in a list of variants. (8x8, Cells: 64) [All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]

Some of the combined pieces look a bit to complicated to me. I'd like some diagrams to help me understand these pieces. I agree with Tim, the pegasus sounds simply too strong. But I still like this idea, and would like to play it. I'm out looking for extra pieces...

CARDCHESS. Utilizes the two key elements of card games: four suits and the ability to place cards face down to hide their values. (10x10, Cells: 100) [All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]

I love this game! I've played it on Icelandic (where it's name is Hrókurinn, meaning 'the Rook' ) along with my friends. It is wery fun!!! Best of all is the different types of game modes you can choose from. Or you could just make up your own, which (should be) easy.

Conveyor Chess. Large variant with conveyor belt on middle of board. (12x12, Cells: 144) [All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]

According to http://taikyokushogi.hp.infoseek.co.jp/taikyoku.swf, this mark -|-|-|-> means 'may jump over three pieces on its way'. In this link, get the piece that starts at 20 32 out on the board and look at the forward-diagonal moves: it may move four spaces into the opponents start row, jumping over three pieces- or one, or two, jumping over one, or three, jumping over two.

Wildebeest Chess. Variant on an 10 by 11 board with extra jumping pieces. (11x10, Cells: 110) (Recognized!)[All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]
