Recycle Chess

I would like to introduce a new chess variant. I haven't named to so far. I am thinking about recycle chess.

The game is like one-board bughouse. I invented it during blitz game. I castled by taking my king, knocking over my rook with the king. My opponent asked me if I captured my own rook. I toll my rook and said Yes! I can drop it later on in the game (as in bughouse). And so the game went on. We captured pieces and placed them somewhere else. At the end I lost my first game of that kind. I played it many more times. Bughouse players like the game. The rules are easy to sum up:

  1. All rules of the FIDE chess apply except for the following rules:
  2. Players can capture own pieces in the same way they capture opponent's pieces.
  3. Instead of a move, players can drop their own captured pieces on any empty squares. (even with check and mate) Pawns cannot be dropped on the 1st or 8th rank
  4. When a pawn reaches the 8th(1st) rank, it will get removed from the board. It will NOT be replaced by another piece. It does not promote.
