The Chess Variant Pages

Games ancient and oriental and how to play them (Book information)

In 1892, a book on historic and oriental board games, written by Edward Falkener appeared. The book is still interesting for board games enthousiasts. A large number of games are described in the book, including a number of chess variants, sometimes given with sample games.

Dover published later reprints in paperback of this book.
