Metamorphosis Chess

If you had a Java-capable browser, you could play Metamorphosis Chess here.
Keys "s"=save "l"=load "b"=back once

Pieces transform on escaping from an attacked square to an empty square, or on capturing.

Upon escaping from enemy attack to an empty square:

Knights become queens
Bishops become pegasi (B+N)
Rooks become marshalls (R+N)

Queens, marshalls, and pegasi turn into the minor piece which moves as the capture was made.
