Francois Tremblay's system for making the values of the units more equal. All pieces give check. Pawns may capture any unit. The queen may capture only pawns. The rook may only capture pawns, knights, and bishops. Knights and bishops may capture any piece except the queen.
These are simple illustrations rather than strong opponents.
