If you had a Java-capable browser, you could play Dark Chess here.

You are White. You can see only the squares to which you could move, with occupants if any. There are no double pawn moves (as per Pritchard "Darkness Chess").

In this version, you can move into, or remain in, check.

Where pawns can move will also let you know something about where enemy pieces are.
