Game Courier supports many different games. Here is one picked at random:
Toulousain Chess - Jean-Louis Cazaux's 12 x 12 chess variant dedicated to his town of Toulouse.

Dark Chess II

If you had a Java-capable browser, you could play Dark Chess II here.

You are White. You can see only the squares to which you could move. There are no double pawn moves (as per Pritchard, "Darkness Chess").

In this variant you cannot move into, or remain in, check. This can help you know where enemy pieces might be.

Where pawns can move will also let you know something about where enemy pieces are.
