Turkish Great Chess, variation III

Introduction

Here is John Gollon's Turkish Great Chess Variation Three:

Variation Three is played on a board twelve squares by twelve, uncheckered. (The graphic is checkered for clarity -- Ed.)

The Padshah, or King, starts on G1 and F12, and moves as the King (there is no castling).
The Wazir, or Vizir, or Minister, starts on F1 and G12, and moves as the Queen.
The Fil, or Elephant, starts on E1, H1, E12, and H12, and moves as the Bishop.
The Ratha, or Chariot, starts at D1, I1, D12, and I12, and moves as the Rook.
The Dahja, or Standard, starts on C1, J1, C12, and J12, and moves as the Bishop.
The Ghora, or Horse, starts on B1, K1, B12, and K12, and moves as the Knight.
The Rook starts on A1, L1, A12, and L12.
Pawns fill the whole of the second and eleventh ranks. They have no multiple steps, and on reaching the last rank of the board are promoted to Wazir.

The rules on stalemate and bare King are unknown. There is no castling.
