The 'Chasing rules' of Chinese Chess do not apply to Western Chess and I have not used them in any of the games I have written. Basically these rules do not allow for a piece to continually attack another unprotected piece by the pieces moving backwards and forwards between the same two positions - the full rules are more complicated than this and you will need to ask somebody else if you want to know them exactly as I am not totally sure myself.
