DAN+, Different Queens
If one side uses the ordinary chess Queen, and the other side uses a piece that moves and captures either as Rook or as Knight, the game should be very even.This has not yet been tested between strong human players, but I feel confident about it.
Of course, this can be combined with the use of different Augmented Knights, or with any of the other piece substitutions discussed here...
